Single Steps Learning and Aberbargoed Primary School
A Collaborative Learning Project
Monday 25th June to Friday 6th July 2018
We have recently returned from working with schools in the Netherlands. We had the opportunity to meet the children in three of the schools. We loved having a tour of the schools, hearing about some of their projects and even teaching a few of the classes a game called "I Sit" (or Ik Zit!).
On the weekend, we visited the town of Nijmegen – the oldest town in the Netherlands. The Romans had built a camp here and there is a museum of Roman life in the nearby town of Cuijk. We thought it would be a nice idea to tell our new Dutch friends about Welsh history before the Romans…about the people we now call ‘The Celts’. We knew just the classes to help us…!
Class 5 and Class 6 have agreed to assist us with this mission.
We will be connecting with schools in the Netherlands as part of the project.
Let the laughter and learning begin!

Many thanks to St Fagans (National Museum of History) for the opportunity to take photographs of roundhouses.
We would highly recommend visiting - there is so much to see and do!
It's £5 to park, but free entry.
